Portoro Marble from Italy is a natural stone. It is also known as Nero Portoro, or Black and Gold in English, because it is naturally elegant, bright and deep black with nice golden veins, suitable for artistic achievements and decorative of merit, such as columns, flooring tiles, pillars, fireplace, furniture plans, interiors of palaces and churches, vanity tops, and so on. People all across the world adore it at all times and in all countries.
Commercially, Italian Portoro Marble is suited for a wide range of applications, including artistic applications, columns, church and palace interiors, cladding, flooring, and furniture tops. The polished finish is popular because it provides a touch of class. Because of its unusual veins and expensive price, this black and gold marble is frequently utilized in luxury mansions, famous hotels, and affluent villas. Nero Black Portoro Marble is widely used as an inlay because it contrasts beautifully with light-colored marble.
Some special-shaped plates in Luni City are made of this marble, and some small sections were also utilized in the Nero Portoro. Aside from that, the Genoese have widely used Black and Gold marbles in conjunction with other marbles to construct external walls, columns, caryatids, arches, linings of villas, and so on. Many examples can also be found in Europe during the Baroque period.
